Types of Hair Loss in Male

1.ANDRGENETIC ALOPECIA (MALE PATTERN BALDNESS)

The most common cause for hair loss in men is androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness. There is recession of frontal hairline and thinning of hair in the top of scalp. It is usually associated with family history of baldness.

The hairline gradually moves backward and forms an "M" shape. Eventually the hair becomes finer, shorter and thinner, and creates a U-shaped (or horseshoe) pattern of hair around the sides of the head. It is slowly progressive noticed at late 20’s or early 30’s. But, in recent times this pattern has been noticed at an earlier age as well. Usually, there is no underlying hormonal abnormality, any dietary deficiency or other correctable causes which cannot be stopped. Our hair loss doctors specialise in treating all kinds of hair related conditions.

HOW TO GO ABOUT LOOKING FOR HAIR FALL TREATMENT ?

Hair Loss Treatment can be best provided after a comprehensive diagnosis of the condition. If you are looking for an effective hair doctor, you might want to consider knowing the cause of your hair fall before choosing the treatment.

Cosmetic products and salon treatments are meant for normal hair and do not consider the underlying cause of the hair fall. Once diagnosed, treatments specifically designed for individual patients can be recommended by the proficient dermatologist. An efficient hair loss solution can be availed for male as well as female baldness patterns depending on the cause and area of hair loss. The hair doctor will ask the details of your medical history to diagnose the cause of hair fall and evaluate your condition to prescribe the most appropriate treatment for you.

2.ADVANCED TREATMENT: ADVANCED HAIR TRANSPLANT PROCEDURE

What is Hair Transplant Procedure?

Hair Transplantation is a procedure which involves harvesting hair from permanent hair bearing area , like back and sides of scalp (donor area), by cutting out strip (also called as FUT= Follicular unit transplant) or by directly removing individual follicles with special equipments (FUE= Follicular unit extraction) method, done under local anaesthesia.

When to consider Hair Transplant?

The lost hair cannot always be restored through medical therapies henceforth Hair Transplant fulfils the need. Hair transplant procedure has evolved over the years giving potent results which mostly depend on the technique and surgeon’s experience. Hair transplantation if performed by an expert specialist can produce completely natural appearance with assured hair growth.

When to go for the Treatment?

1. Clear Bald Patch

Medication can treat hair fall and thinning. But when there is a clear bald patch, only hair transplantation is the solution. Depending on your expectations, the doctor would recommend the density and design.
