Types of Hair Loss in Male
1.ANDRGENETIC ALOPECIA (MALE PATTERN BALDNESS)
The most common cause for hair loss in men is androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness. There is recession of frontal hairline and thinning of hair in the top of scalp. It is usually associated with family history of baldness.
The hairline gradually moves backward and forms an "M" shape. Eventually the hair becomes finer, shorter and thinner, and creates a U-shaped (or horseshoe) pattern of hair around the sides of the head. It is slowly progressive noticed at late 20’s or early 30’s. But, in recent times this pattern has been noticed at an earlier age as well. Usually, there is no underlying hormonal abnormality, any dietary deficiency or other correctable causes which cannot be stopped. Our hair loss doctors specialise in treating all kinds of hair related conditions.

HOW TO GO ABOUT LOOKING FOR HAIR FALL TREATMENT ?
Hair Loss Treatment can be best provided after a comprehensive diagnosis of the condition. If you are looking for an effective hair doctor, you might want to consider knowing the cause of your hair fall before choosing the treatment.
Cosmetic products and salon treatments are meant for normal hair and do not consider the underlying cause of the hair fall. Once diagnosed, treatments specifically designed for individual patients can be recommended by the proficient dermatologist. An efficient hair loss solution can be availed for male as well as female baldness patterns depending on the cause and area of hair loss. The hair doctor will ask the details of your medical history to diagnose the cause of hair fall and evaluate your condition to prescribe the most appropriate treatment for you.
2.ADVANCED TREATMENT: ADVANCED HAIR TRANSPLANT PROCEDURE
What is Hair Transplant Procedure?
Hair Transplantation is a procedure which involves harvesting hair from permanent hair bearing area , like back and sides of scalp (donor area), by cutting out strip (also called as FUT= Follicular unit transplant) or by directly removing individual follicles with special equipments (FUE= Follicular unit extraction) method, done under local anaesthesia.
When to consider Hair Transplant?
The lost hair cannot always be restored through medical therapies henceforth Hair Transplant fulfils the need. Hair transplant procedure has evolved over the years giving potent results which mostly depend on the technique and surgeon’s experience. Hair transplantation if performed by an expert specialist can produce completely natural appearance with assured hair growth.
When to go for the Treatment?
1. Clear Bald Patch
Medication can treat hair fall and thinning. But when there is a clear bald patch, only hair transplantation is the solution. Depending on your expectations, the doctor would recommend the density and design.

PRP FOR HAIR LOSS TREATMENT
If you are concerned about hair loss and hair thinning , but are not keen on hair restoration surgery, the " PRP" therapy for hair loss might be your preferred choice.
PRP stands for " Platelet rich plasma", mainly contains growth factors that stimulate hair follicle growth. PRP is an exciting non surgical therapeutic option for those who require stimulation of hair growth. This therapy has been used extensively in Europe for several years and is now becoming more popular in the U.S and Asian countries as more people become aware of its potential benefits and as more research is being done.
We have been performing PRP Therapy as a proactive therapeutic option for male and female patients experiencing hair loss and hair thinning.
THE SCIENCE OF PRP
PRP contains special cells called Platelets, that can theoretically cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. These special platelet cells promote healing, accelerates the rate and degree of tissue healing and regeneration, responds to injury, and formation of new cellular growth. The primary purpose of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.
HOW DO WE PERFORM THE PROCEDURE?
Blood is drawn in our office as though you are having routine blood testing. The blood is spun in a centrifuge and the PRP is separated and removed from the rest of blood. This small amount of fluid with concentrated platelets and growth factors is called platelet rich plasma (PRP). Nothing else is added to the patient’s own blood products so there is no risk of allergy, reaction or rejection. A numbing cream is applied and if needed, an anaesthesia block is given in the scalp so that patient does not feel any pain. The highly concentrated PRP is then injecting into the scalp . The patient's hair is then washed and the patient may drive home without any assistance. No sedation or medication is given during or after the procedure.
IS PRP FOR ME?
PRP has been used successfully in other medical and surgical disciplines for many years. The decision to use PRP is a personal decision and should be made after careful research, consideration and consultation with a physician. PRP is safe and natural because the procedure concentrates the good cells from your scalp and injects them directly back into the area where it is needed. There is absolutely no chance of getting a blood infection from another human being. PRP involves using your own cells that are not modified or changed, and it will not be rejected by your immune system.
CAN I USE OTHER MEDICAL THERAPIES CONCURRENTLY?
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it and prescribe PRP therapy as a compliment to a nonsurgical approach for those patients who are not eligible for surgery or who want to delay hair restoration surgery. As a non-surgical treatment option, we recommend PRP therapy along with Minoxidil and DHT blockers or for those patients who can not tolerate or have side effects with these medications.
